How to play Hangman
Hangman is a word-guessing game. When you start you'll see a row of dashes — one for each hidden letter — and a clue about the word's meaning. You propose letters: correct ones appear in place; wrong ones draw a part of the figure.
In Grafito you tap the letters on the on-screen keyboard or your physical keyboard. You win when you reveal the whole word before the drawing is finished; you lose if you use up your wrong guesses. The clue and word bank are in English in this version.
Hangman rules
- A word is chosen at random by level and shown hidden with dashes.
- Each correct letter appears in all of its positions within the word.
- Each wrong letter adds a miss and draws a part of the hangman.
- You win if you complete the word; you lose if you reach the miss limit (7, 6 or 5 by level).
Tips & strategy
- Start with the most common vowels (A, E, O) to reveal the word's structure.
- Follow with the frequent consonants: R, S, N, L, T, D.
- Use the clue: the definition usually narrows the topic of the word a lot.
- Once you see part of the word, think of common endings (-ING, -TION, -MENT) to work out the rest.
